Menu wording changes occasionally on these platforms — if a label below doesn't match exactly, look for "Go Live," "Stream Key," or "Streaming Software" in your account's live-streaming settings.
YouTube
- Go to YouTube Studio → Create → Go live.
- Choose Stream (not Webcam).
- Copy the Stream URL (usually
rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2) into the server URL field, and the Stream key into the key field.
Facebook
- Go to Facebook Live Producer.
- Choose Streaming software.
- Copy the Server URL and Stream Key shown there.
Twitch
- Go to your Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream.
- Copy your Primary Stream key. The server URL depends on your chosen ingest region (e.g.
rtmp://live.twitch.tv/app — see Twitch's ingest server list).
Other platforms
Search that platform's help center for "RTMP stream key" or "streaming software setup." Note that some platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok) restrict or don't support external RTMP encoders for every account — check your platform's own eligibility requirements before assuming this will work there.
